About The Place2Be
Rhyl is proud to be a part of The Place2Be – a national children’s charity working with 200 schools across the UK. They provide a safe space – The Place2Be room – where children can express their feelings through talking, creative work and play.
What difference does Place2Be make at Rhyl?
Place2Be works to improve the confidence and emotional wellbeing of children. We help children feel better about themselves. When children feel better about themselves, they are able to learn more easily and that means less worry for parents.
How we help children
Place2Be works with children one-to-one and in small groups, offering regular time-tabled support for those who will benefit most. All pupils can find help with friendship issues and other worries by choosing to visit Place2Talk, which offers short lunchtime sessions to individuals and groups.
Have a look at the information on our website about our services for children, parents and carers and school staff. If you have any questions, you are welcome to talk to your Place2Be School Project Manager, either face-to-face or via telephone or email.
At Rhyl, our School Project Manager is Vanessa Correia. You can contact Vanessa by calling the school office.
