Rhyl Champions

At Rhyl, we believe in providing our children with opportunities that encourage independence and a growing sense of responsibility. Therefore, in Year 5 and 6 some of our pupils take on the role of Champion within the school. Champions have different jobs around the school, which may include welcoming visitors and school tours as well as being role models for all of our community.

• Community Champions
• Sports Champions
• Music Champions
• Mental Health & Well-being Champions

Champions are chosen through an application process which promotes a sense of aspiration and means that the children reflect on the skills and qualities they have developed throughout their time at Rhyl. their responsibilities are wide ranging and include running Rhyl Radio each Friday, supporting younger children with extra reading, leading games at playtime and supporting coding club.
