STEAM

At Rhyl, we believe in hands on, active learning through a connected and cross curricular approach. Therefore we approach our learning through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths). This approach to learning promotes student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Our children are then able to take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century.

We facilitate learning environments and make connections across subjects which are relevant to our pupils, giving them a purpose to what they are learning and better supporting them to understand their place within their community and wider world. Through STEAM, our children develop a range of skills which can be applied to all areas of learning, social interactions and the world of work, enabling them to be global citizens with a wide cultural capital.

STEAM is active, fun, relevant and ready to prepare our children for a modern world, with ever changing technologies and opportunities yet unknown!
