Vacancies for Teaching Assistants to support SEND

To start 3 June 2024

Fixed Term Contract to 31 August 2025

30 hours per week, term time only

   Scale 3 (£29,973 – £30,136 pro rata)

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals who would like to join our friendly team. You will play an important role in raising the achievement of our children. Candidates should be well-motivated and have a calm manner.

Rhyl is a friendly and very supportive school with a high number of children who have complex SEND and we are very proud of our excellent reputation for Inclusion. Our success is due to the hard work and commitment of all of our staff team and we provide training and professional development opportunities to enable support staff to fulfil their role to a very high standard.

The successful candidates will have had experience of working with pupils with language and communication needs and experience of using strategies to support autism or communication and language needs. The role will require candidates to provide 1:1 and small group support for children with complex and medical needs in our school.

We are looking for an exceptional and experienced teacher to further develop our provision for those with SEND and complex needs.

Rhyl is a forward thinking, inclusive and very successful community school where staff and children thrive and are valued within a safe and highly stimulating school environment. Our children are truly exceptional and keen to learn.

Rhyl has a strong reputation for excellence in Inclusion and we are looking for a teacher to work alongside our SENDCo and with our staff in our in-school provision as well in class alongside staff working with children with the most complex needs.  The successful candidate will have significant experience of working with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs and will have worked across the EYFS and primary age range.

SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER

We are looking for an excellent and dynamic Business Manger to join our senior team. Rhyl is a happy, inclusive and outstanding school across two sites in Kentish Town and we need someone with the enthusiasm, energy and passion to support our future school development.

This is a strategic position and the successful candidate will be experienced and skilled and someone who can provide vision and leadership in all aspects of school business operation across the extended school provision.

You will:

  • Have good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Be highly organised, reliable and able to use time management skills effectively
  • Have high expectations
  • Be approachable and friendly
  • Possess self-motivation and initiative to work as part of a team as well as individually
  •  Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  •  Have the qualification for School Business Management or a willingness to undertake the training

The successful candidate will have confidence and experience in strategic planning at a senior level; school administration and management; finance; budget planning and implementation; procurement; human resources; facilities management; governance and the ability to head varied teams of support staff in a school environment. Above all, you will be flexible and well organised and able to manage time efficiently.
