Schools Sports Premium

The government provides primary schools with additional funding through the PE and Sport Premium to improve the quality and impact of physical education (PE) and school sport. This funding is provided jointly by the Department for Education, the Department of Health and Social Care, and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
At Rhyl, the PE and Sport Premium is used strategically to make sustainable improvements to PE and sport provision. Funding is targeted to increase participation, improve the quality of teaching and learning in PE, and ensure pupils develop the physical competence, confidence, and skills needed to lead healthy, active lives.
Information about how the funding has been allocated is detailed below, in line with PE and Sport Premium reporting requirements.
